Candle Making Crafts- Make 3 Fantastic Candles with these Simple Step by Step Guidelines
Candles add an ambiance that nothing else can. There is a life about them that comes from the dancing flames and the scent of the fragrance. Candle making crafts are fun and allow you to be as creative as you want to be.
Using up you leftover wax to make a stacked pillar candle is fun and simple to do:
Prepare your wax and add color and fragrance as desired. Spray a cookie sheet with silicone spray and when the wax reaches 175 to 180 degrees F pour it onto the cookie sheet and allow to cool. Cut out the shapes when the wax is the consistency of cookie dough with a cookie cutter and poke a hole through the centers. After completely cooling thread a pre-tabbed wick through the holes and arrange as desired.
Cupcake candle:
Prepare wax and add color and fragrance. Insert cupcake cups in a muffin pan and pour wax heated to 140 to 145 degrees F into the cups. When it is cooled add the pre-tabbed wicks and let them cool completely. Remove the cups from the candles and place onto a cookie sheet. Melt wax for the whipped frosting; add color and fragrance and whisk until it looks like whipped cream. When the wax is 85 to 90 degrees scoop it on to the cupcake candles and form into peaks with a fork. For the syrup melt wax, color and drizzle over the tops when it is thickened. Add decorations as desired.
Create wax candy canes with tilted layer candles.
Great for Christmas as they look like candy canes. Melt the wax, wick your mold and fill a box with sand digging a hole large enough to fit the mold and place it at a slight angle with sand packed around it. Pour the initial layer of wax at 180 to 190 degrees F. Allow the initial layer to cool and pour the second layer about 10 degrees hotter. Repeat steps until wax is near the top of the mold, then upright the mold until it is standing straight in the sand and pour the final layer. Allow to cool completely and remove the candle from the mold.
As you can see there’s a lot of candle making crafts you can make, just use your imagination …and let’s start making candles!
